Guillermo's Website

I will be graduating from San Diego State on May 11th of 2024 with a Bachelors in Multimedia Design. It has been an eduactional and interest four years at SDSU, and I am excited to see what comes next on my journey.

Following graduation, I will be vacationing in Europe over the summer with some friends. When I get back from my vacation I will be able to move into my new apartment and I will also be starting a new job.

My favorite class that I took at SDSU was ART348 Three Dimensional Digital Media. The class seemed difficult at first because I had never used some of the 3D modeling programs, but once I understood how the tools in the software worked it became more enjoyable. The projects were interesting and it was through the projects that I learned how to do skeleton rigs and 3D animations.

The work I produced at SDSU that I am most proud of is Paradox Broadside. The project that the work was for involved creating a poster for a song of my choice that conveys the message of the song through the use of type of images. I chose the song Paradox by Survive Said The Prophet, and in my poster I wanted to convey the theme of duality. So for the background of the poster I decided to create abstract imagery of light and dark using india ink on canvas. As for the type, I used lyrics from the song and created a grid system with the title of the song. Overall, the project pushed me to think unconventionally with the typography placement and ultimately resulted in a work that I am very proud of.
